The challenge

Field work that paper couldn't keep up with

A non-profit coordinating French-language community outreach needed to manage territories, addresses, and return visits across many volunteers — work that had outgrown spreadsheets and printed sheets.

They needed one secure system that worked the way their volunteers actually do: in the field, on a phone, in both English and French — with administrators able to see and organize everything from a single dashboard. So we built it, custom, end to end.

What we built

One platform, three surfaces

A shared backend powering a web dashboard and two native apps — everything stays in sync.

Web dashboard

A React portal where administrators manage territories, addresses, publishers, and campaigns — backed by a Fastify API and cloud-hosted on AWS.

iOS app

A native SwiftUI app that puts every territory, address, and return visit in a volunteer's pocket — fully synced with the web portal, in English and French.

Android app

A native Kotlin app with a modern Material You design, full feature parity with iOS, light/dark mode, and an offline connection indicator.

Territories & live map

Check territories in and out with live progress tracking and an interactive map of color-coded address pins.

Address management

Status tags (worked, return visit, do-not-call, language), one-tap visit outcomes, full history, and automatic postal lookup.

Return visits

A personal, always-current return-visit list with past conversations, comments, and turn-by-turn directions.

Address sharing

Share selected addresses with a partner and recall them when finished — with clear ownership and expiry.

Campaign mode

The platform switches automatically into special-campaign work, tracks it separately, then reverts when the campaign ends.

Name insights

A name lookup estimates likely nationalities and languages, helping volunteers find French speakers faster.

Print & PDF

Generate clean, printable territory sheets and return-visit lists as PDFs — preview, share, or print from any device.

Fully bilingual

Every screen works in English and French, switchable anytime, with multi-congregation support under one login.
